Etsy Finds of the Patchwork Persuasion

So what is this post about, you ask? Well, you shouldn’t really have to ask if you read the title, but that’s okay. We all have our goldfish moments. Trust me. I had to look at the title to remind myself what I was writing about. Har har. =)

I adore clothes put together like this. Patchwork pieces are so refreshing and can look retro but really are quite futuristic in my head. They can be so flattering and so fun, and are definitely conversation starters. The best part about them is how playful they can be. I have a mild obsession with children’s games and I’m openly envious that they have Arts & Crafts every day, which this style of clothing reminds me of.

I’m not a fan of this material because it sticks to everything but what you want emphasized. I just couldn’t resist how cute and whimsical it is. It reminds me a lot of Alice in Wonderland, and the blue heart button detail is so adorable.

I am head over heels in love with hooded and cowled shirts and outwear. This shirt is darling with big plaid front pockets and a cowled neckpiece. Plus the band at the bottom is perfectly wonderful and adds that extra oomph that makes me want to buy this sort of stuff.

Another cowled shirt with big front pockets. Melt. I love grey oh so much! And this particular piece brings last season’s Project Runway to mind. I adored Mila’s work and was pretty upset that she didn’t win. Meh.

Another example of fabric I wouldn’t personally wear, but a style I adore. Another cowled neckpiece with beautiful striped shoulder detail and accent flower with what I believe is a button center. The asymmetrical bust brings even more attention to the upper half of this piece.

And finally, this dress. I adore almost everything about this dress, from the sweetheart neckline with the broad turquoise fold-over action and black button detail, to the bold black tie beneath the bust. This dress was made for my Closet of Wanting because I really, really want this dress….just not with that print. Yikes!
